“There is no time to waste.”
San Antonio, TX- Today, Gina Ortiz Jones, candidate for San Antonio Mayor, unveiled her plan to address San Antonio’s most urgent challenges, including public safety, housing affordability, and early childcare education, while ensuring transparency and fiscal responsibility.
“I’m very excited about thinking about what the first 100 days of my administration could look like,” said Jones. “You’ll see the actions I want to take in the first 100 days. There are 14 actions on there. I think these are things that are bold. They are ambitious, but I don’t think there’s anything we can’t do if we put our mind to it.”
“Gina doesn’t just talk about these issues — she’s lived them,” said Amanda Lee Keammerer, founder and CEO of Javilud. “I’m proud to support Gina because San Antonio is our hometown. We grew up here. We come from military families. We come from humble neighborhoods. We understand the importance of education, opportunity, and access. We understand that San Antonio is a community of people from many different backgrounds. We center people first, and we value lived experiences when making decisions that impact people’s futures.”
Jones’ plan consists of priority issues and actions and a commitment to transparency and accountability by pledging to hold monthly town halls and post progress updates to the city website. “When you’re thinking about people’s time, people’s energies, and their resources, you have to give them an idea of how things are going”, said Jones.
Jones’ full vision and 100-day plan can be found here.
